ANNOUNCEMENT
10/01/2021On January 21, 2021, at 11:00 am the next virtual scientific seminar of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics will be held over the Microsoft Teams platform. At the seminar the associate professor, c.p.-m.s., Elvin Azizbayov will speech on the theme “Inverse boundary-value problem for the equation of longitudinal wave propagation with non-self-adjoint boundary conditions”.In the report, the speaker will talk about the theory of inverse boundary-value problems, classifications of inverse problems, and their applications. The presenter will give a formulation of an inverse boundary-value problem for the equation of longitudinal wave propagation with nonlocal initial and non-self-adjoint boundary conditions, and will also introduce the definition of the classical solution of the stated problem.
Further, the original problem will reduced to an equivalent problem and existence and uniqueness of the solution to the equivalent problem will be shown using a contraction mappings principle.
Finally, by the equivalency, the existence and uniqueness of classical solution will obtain.
